My oldest stepdaughter, Alayne, played a Rock Academy gig today. She was awesome. Sounded great, had a lot of poise on the stage, and acted like she plays to standing-room only crowds all the time. I'm really proud.
I'm sure this is just the beginning for this one.

How fun! I still get butterflies in my stomach whenever I perform, but for some reason I have a much easier time performing classically. How old is this young'n? And what did she perform?
She's almost 13. Her band, Hospital Bill, did three songs:
Dancin' With Myself (The Donna's version of a Billy Idol song)
Pork N Beans (Weezer)
Somebody Told Me (The Killers)
She sang lead for the first, harmonies for the second, and split lead with the male singer on the third. They're going to try to get the same band together for the next session.
